The pool company I work with has said that it could happen and I have never had to drain yet. I always keep the cover off in the off season and clean regular. It lets the sun work on the chlorine which reduces the concentration levels. I try to control the amount of chlorine, too. I use a floater because the feeder is harder to regulate with use. We
