Gidcumb told Monday's regular city council meeting that citizens who have an above-ground pool that is four-feet deep already have the required barrier, so long as they remove the ladder when it is unoccupied.
Three-foot above ground pools, however, do not meet that requirement: Something four feet tall must be there in order to prevent a child from falling in.
Anyone with questions about city ordinance regarding swimming pools may contact City Hall.
AND SPEAKING OF POOLS...
Mayor Bill Hudson issued a unique warning to citizens Monday: Hopping the fence to swim in the city pool after-hours is trespassing, and usually gets the police involved.
